Shri V Rajaraman

Shri V. Rajaraman has assumed charge as Joint Director (JD) of the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Mangaluru, with effect from 06 May 2026.

Shri Rajaraman is a graduate in Horticulture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, and holds a master’s degree in finance. He has also completed CAIIB and a Post Graduate Certification in Financial Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Tiruchirappalli.

He brings with him rich and diverse experience spanning over two decades in NABARD, having joined the organisation in 1999. During his career, he has served at various managerial levels across multiple States, gaining extensive exposure to key development domains. His major areas of experience include Rural MSME Development, Rural Infrastructure Development, Project Appraisal, and related developmental initiatives. He has also served as District Development Manager (DDM) for Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu, where he played a significant role in advancing district-level
