BIRD, an ISO 9001:2015 organisation was established in November 1984 by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for meeting the capacity building needs of the client institutions like Commercial Banks, RRBs and Cooporative Banks, so as to make them financially strong, managerially efficient and organizationally vibrant on a sustainable basis for deepening rural credit.

It is located in a sprawling independent campus, facilitating academic pursuits in an ideal, serene and verdant atmosphere. Participants are provided with single room air conditioned accommodation. The campus has State of the Art class rooms, Library, Computer lab, gymnasium and Multi cuisine catering facility.

The Faculty Members are professional trainers and have domain knowledge in all topics relating to agriculture, rural development, rural psychology and rural financing with vast field experience.
